Myrt Price

Public Information Officer Manager, Orlando Police Department

Myrt Price is the Public Information Officer (PIO) Manager for the Orlando Police Department and brings nearly two decades of experience as an award-winning television news reporter. His career has taken him to newsrooms across the country, including Memphis, Monroe (LA), Toledo, Dayton, Cleveland, Indianapolis, and Orlando.

Before joining OPD, Myrt served as the Digital PR Manager at Launch That, a performance-based marketing agency. In that role, he led outreach efforts for several brands and successfully secured media placements in both local and national outlets, helping expand brand visibility and reach a wider audience.

Myrt’s background in communications also includes serving as the Communications Assistant for the State Attorney’s Office in Florida’s Ninth Judicial Circuit, and as a key member of the Mayor’s Office in the City of Cleveland, Ohio.

A proud graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, Myrt transitioned from the fast-paced world of news reporting to the dynamic field of public relations with ease. Outside of his professional life, Myrt is a married father of two who thrives on family adventures. When he's not managing media relations or building strategic campaigns, you'll likely find him coaching youth football and soccer, exploring new destinations, working out, reading sci-fi, singing karaoke, or cheering for his favorite sports teams.

Adding another dimension to his story, Myrt is also a published children's author. He co-authored Mr. Buddy the Donkey, a heartwarming book illustrated by his talented daughter.
